JnU Organized an International Seminar in Psychology



Moniruzzaman :: The Department of Psychology organized an International Seminar entitled “Psychology in Russia and Bangladesh: Opportunities for future collaboration” in the Sigmund Freud Conference hall in the Department of Psychology of Jagannath University.

The delegation from Perm State Humanities University comprises four its distinguished faculty members i.e. Dr. Aleksei Popov, Dr. Aleksander Vikhman, Eugenia Vasiliadi and Daria Raskina.

The speakers presented a variety of 5 topics, which included cognitive biases in decision-making processes, learning agility in academic and business settings, naturalistic decision-making among police investigators, interrelations between dream content and automatic daily thoughts, human resource selection procedures in Russia.

The discussion that followed was built around opportunities of future collaboration including joint scientific projects, student exchange and PhD scholar exchange, joint publication opportunities, etc.

The seminar was resided by Professor Dr. Kazi Saifuddin, Chairman of the Department of Psychology. Among others Professor Dr. Asoke Kumar Saha delivered the welcome speech, while Dr. Kamal Uddin, the associate professor of Psychology of Dhaka University acted as a moderator.

Later the delegation met the Vice Chancellor of Jagannath University Professor Dr. Mizanur Rahaman and discussed opportunities for collaboration in the sphere of psychological issues between the Department of Psychology of Prem State Humanities University and Jagannath University.
